Congratulations to Jessica Burch, our June Client of the Month! Jessica is very dedicated when it comes to her workouts. We are so proud of all her hard work and look forward to her positive attitude at all the workouts!

Do you have a favorite exercise? What do you like about it?

Favorite: Bosu burpees. I have no idea why but they are fun!

I also like ab stuff… if it’s not a plank. 😉

Least favorite? What don’t you like?

Least favorite: planks! I am getting better but man oh man. They are harrrrrrdddddd.

Bench pressing is also tough because I have no upper body strength — but I actually added weight to the bar, so it’s improving!

What achievements are you most proud of?

I just took part in the Shape Up for Spring Challenge and I went down in all my measurements (weight, body fat and measuring tape)! I have also successfully (mostly) cut out gluten which was so very very hard for this bread-loving German.

What do you like most about Wild Workouts and Wellness?

It’s the whole package! Workouts and nutrition. I hate to admit it but eating clean makes me feel so much better and I love the variety of the workouts. I never get bored and I love learning new moves! Also — the support is incredible! The coaches and staff are always there to answer questions and offer advice. I never feel like I’m bothering anyone when I ask a question — whether it’s about a food product or what muscle I am supposed to be working.

What advice would you give to other Wild peeps?

Consistency! If you miss a week get back on the horse! If you eat a whole pizza try again tomorrow. Inch by inch, life’s a cinch! Yard by yard, life is hard! So cheesy, but so true! Also try new things! Sign up for a Challenge or a different specialty class!

Do you have a favorite song or type of music for working out?

I generally like whatever the coaches play. They all have different personalities and their playlists reflect that! When I was training for a marathon my playlists had everything from Rap to indie rock to classic rock to funk and oldies and weird 90’s country and 80’s Christian Rock (don’t even ask — I’m a weirdo).

What are some challenges or goals you are currently working on?

Keep up my progress and not let bad weeks or days throw me off.

A minute plank.

Allowing progress to be not just scale-based.

I am hardcore contemplating signing up for a half or full marathon since I’m a teacher and will have all summer to train… and am loving the Run Wild group.
