Ellen is our February client of the month and we are so proud of all that she has accomplished.  Ellen first visited Wild Workouts and Wellness when we moved into our new location in September of 2013.  It was almost exactly one year later that Ellen was ready to get started and join our boot camp workouts.  And since then, she has truly done some amazing things.

Now Ellen doesn’t just come 2 times a week, she’s unlimited because she loves the workouts.  She is always up for a challenge.  She challenges herself by going for the heavier weights and trying new exercises.  Ellen recently tried a plank walkover on a stepper.  That’s pretty awesome.  And did I mention that Ellen is 65 years young?

Ellen has lost over 10 pounds and is down over 5 % body fat.

Here’s Ellen’s feedback from our interview questions.

Do you have a favorite exercise? What do you like about it? Least favorite? What don’t you like about it?

I really enjoy lifting weights. I have some hand and wrist issues so sometimes it can be challenging to find the right kind of weight and position…. but I really feel I am getting stronger and that feels great.

I would say the bosu is not my favorite piece of equipment… balancing is challenging!

What achievements are you most proud of?

Sticking with consistently working out for the past few months. Not letting my ego stop me…. especially when first starting….

What do you like most about Wild Workouts and Wellness?

How everyone is always willing to accommodate each person. The upbeat, friendly and genuine attitude that we are greeted with each time we walk into the door. And of course the most wonderful thing is that the program really works. Weight loss happens…. combining the boot camps and nutritional counseling. I also think that the people that come to Wild are great… very friendly and supportive.

What advice would you give to other wild peeps?

Really stick with the program… it absolutely works. Let the staff know what you need…. if something does not feel right let them know and they will find a way to make it work!

Do you have a favorite song or type of music for working out?

Upbeat music…. with a good beat

What are some challenges or goals you are currently working on/

Increasing my strength and endurance. Continuing to work on healthy eating each day.

Great job Ellen!  We are so proud of you!
