The smoothie this month is the Omega Green Smoothie. This would be a great breakfast! Healthy fats and low in carbs, you’ll be full and fueled to rock the first part of your day.

Vanilla Nutri-burn Protein Powder (2 scoops) – This lactose free protein powder provides cold processed protein isolates for easy digestion and assimilation. Steamed Spinach (1 cup steamed) – This is where the green comes from. Putting in a cup of steamed spinach provides Vitamin C, Vitamin A, Copper, Magnesium, and Zinc. Steaming spinach breaks down the oxalic acid so we can easily absorb these nutrients.
Raw Almond Butter (1TBSP) – Almonds are a great source of healthy fats, Vitamin E and magnesium. A tbsp is all you need to amp of the nutrition of this shark.
Flax Meal (1 TBSP) – Toss those flax seeds in the coffee grinder to make flax meal. Flax seeds also contain healthy Omega-3 fats and lots of good fiber to aid with intestinal health. This too provides copper, magnesium and a host of other minerals. Grinding your seeds helps unlock all the nutrition in this super foods.
Cinnamon (1 pinch) – Cinnamon helps balance your blood sugar and hold off cravings. Just a pinch added to your shake will assist with stabilizing your blood sugar.
Steam your spinach and grind your flax seeds. Then combine all the listed ingredients into your blender with 12 oz of water. Then add in 4 ice cubes to make it smooth. Blend until they are all combined.
I highly recommend this if you struggle to get in your vegetables. You don’t even taste the spinach! Hint: That means you could give this too your kids too! Everyone can benefit from more vegetables, healthy fats and fiber.
