Dan is just awesome!  His journey with Wild Workouts and Wellness started with Run Wild Interval Training.  Then Dan moved on to Semi Private Personal Training.  Dan did the Racine 1/2 Ironman this year as well as a the Pike’s Peak Hill Climb.

Dan has a pretty demanding job, physically combined with long hours.  He could use that as an excuse, but Dan makes time to get his workouts in and eat wild on the job sites.

We are so proud of Dan and wanted to share his awesomeness with you!

Q:  Do you have a favorite exercise? What do you like about it? Least favorite? What don’t you like about it?

Favorite: Wall Ball Squats. They isolate muscles that I use while riding the bike. The ball and wall add stability so you can really stack on the weight and concentrate on reps, they are also very easy to do at home. I am much stronger on the bike this year because of them.

Least Favorite: Plank with elbows on the ball and doing circles. I know I need ’em, but they KILL my abs.

Q:  What achievements are you most proud of?

Participated in Pikes Peak Cycling Hill Climb for the second year and knocked one hour and fifteen minutes off of last years time. That is a huge improvement and I have the trainers at Wild to thank!

Q:  What do you like most about Wild Workouts and Wellness?

Small class sizes so you get very individualized attention. Very knowledgeable trainers with fun and energetic personalities.

Q:  What advice would you give to other wild peeps?

Close your eyes and visualize yourself in the body you want. I have a couple pictures from high school on my desk and my computer to help.

Q:  Do you have a favorite song or type of music for working out?

I’m really pretty flexible on music. I am used to riding the bike for a couple hours at a time without any, so while at the gym anything is good.

Q:  What are some challenges or goals you are currently working on?

I need to maintain focus through this winter. If I can start the new year off at this weight or less, I will be miles ahead of where I started this year. Maintaining good healthy habits will help me achieve my goals for whichever races I choose to participate in next summer.
