Congrats to Beth! She has worked really hard and is very dedicated to her workouts. Beth is an example of both scale and non-scale victories – check out how far she’s come!

What made you decide you wanted/needed to start a training Program?

I was having ongoing, significant stress in my personal life and my health was suffering.  I was lucky to sleep more than 2 hours a night, my BP was very high [and my blood sugar and cholesterol were borderline].  I joined Wild to lower my BP but the biggest reason was to manage stress and burn off adrenaline.  I did not want my adrenal glands to tank from chronic exposure to the effects of stress.

What do you like best about Wild’s program & having a trainer?

I appreciate the non-judgmental support that all the Wild Trainers offer.  I have several old injuries [bad knees, herniated discs, torn rotator cuff in one shoulder, etc] and the trainers always gave me modifications so that I was able to participate in class.  Those modifications made it possible for me to get stronger and progress to a point where I no longer need them as much as I used to.

When I look back and see how far I have progressed in 2 years,  it is astounding.  I’ve lost 30lbs.  My BP, blood sugar and cholesterol are all in normal range AND I have gained a lot of strength.  Pain in my spine and shoulder use to interfere with my sleep. Since working out at Wild, I rarely have back pain and the muscle I have built in my arms and shoulder has stabilized my rotator cuff – no more shoulder pain!  In addition, I typically struggle with seasonal depression in the winter months but regular workouts [4x week] at Wild have helped me sail through the doldrums this winter!

I love coming to boot camps to see what my body is capable of doing.  I don’t have the mindset that I am working out to punish myself for something I ate.  Instead I look forward to seeing what I CAN do at each bootcamp (can I do two more push ups than last time, or go up in weight on a row or overhead press).  Last week I did squat jumps and pop squats for the first time with no pain in my knees.

The boot camps also help me re-frame personal struggles and stress I face outside of the gym.  If I can endure the “creative suffering” that the coaches dish out in the gym and come out stronger – I can do the same thing in other aspects of my life too.  Push-ups with my feet in the suspension trainers?? No problem!  Got that.  lol

What would you say to someone on the fence about joining our program?

Amber, Kate and crew are dedicated to learning.  They focus on listening to their clients and helping them achieve their individual goals.  Wild is an extremely supportive community – a family really.

The coaches do a fantastic job modifying exercises so everyone, no matter what level they are at, can participate.  Your body will become stronger, but so will your mind and your overall fortitude.  Yes, the boot camps are great for weight loss but that is only one part of the picture.  The benefits you will gain in other aspects of your life are priceless.  Join.  Give it a try.  You won’t regret it.  Amber and her team have built something wonderful!  Join the Wild Force!
