How did you first hear about Wild Workouts & Wellness?

A friend took me to Bring-A-Friend week… And then brought me again, and brought me again. I did a couple of specialty classes, a couple of challenges, and FINALLY decided that I was ready to become a member.

Do you have a favorite exercise? What do you like about it?

Probably something involving a plank and a mini-band. Maybe some gunslingers.

Least favorite? What don’t you like about it?

Kettlebell swings… Because if anyone was going to accidentally let go of the kettlebell and hit someone in the face, it would be me.

What achievements are you most proud of?

I can see physical differences in my body and I feel stronger, but I’m most proud of the fact that I have worked out consistently for the last several months.

Why Wild? What do you like most about Wild Workouts and Wellness?

The variety of the workouts. Even if I hate a particular exercise, I know I never have to do it for very long, and possibly never again. I love mixing speed with weights and changing it up every day.

What advice would you give to other Wild peeps?

You will not regret going to a workout. I have to remind myself of that every morning. Sometimes when you feel like working out the least is when you need to the most.

Do you have a favorite song or type of music for working out?

My workout play list is typically fast and loud. If I had to pick a favorite song to run to, it would be Johnny Was a Solider by the Addicts. When it comes on, I always pick up the pace. There was an (awful) picture taken of me during a half-marathon where it looked like I was singing along and clapping like a goof ball and I KNEW it was to that song.

What are some challenges or goals you are currently working on?

Summer fitness goals:

  • Increase mileage for long runs. Hoping I can get a couple of 15-17 milers in before the end of the summer.
  • I’m trying to work on my upper body strength a LOT. I want to be able to beat my 10 year old at a monkey bar race. 🙂
