Pat and Lori Gifford Rock!

Why?  For many reasons.

1) They totally give 110% at every workout.  The both work hard and have achieved amazing results.

2) They have superstar attitudes.  They come in positive and ready to have a fun workout.  I know other Wild peeps love working out with Lori and Pat.

3) They support each other.  Pat and Lori totally have each other’s back.  As a couple, they made their fitness and health a priority.  Not only do they workout together at Wild, but also on their own.

These two continue to overcome hurdles.  Pat has high blood pressure and Lori has had a history of knee pain.  Instead of making excuses, they made things happen with the help of Wild Workouts and Wellness.

Q: Do you have a favorite exercise? What do you like about it? Least favorite? What don’t you like about it?

Pat: Biking, seeing new places, outdoors, you can do it with others. Least favorite is running; I have a hard time running. I need that extra push from Run Wild and the coaching that comes with it.

Lori: Actually “Burpee”- Body Builder Burpees. I feel stronger since doing these. At one time I hated them. Not anymore! I’ve grown to “love” them.

Q: What achievements are you most proud of?

Pat: Lost 45 lbs 4 years ago and have kept it off. 2014 Wisconsin Senior Olympics, 1 in Age Group Triathlon, 1 Bike Time Trail and 2 for the Bike Road Race.

Lori:  The weight and inches I’ve lost and the added strength. I have gained confidence.

Q: What do you like most about Wild Workouts and Wellness?

Pat: All the trainers, the knowledge to modify exercises for problem areas (shoulders). Everyone is friendly and happy. Great environment and it has that family feel, not a gym feel.

Lori: The coaches are all awesome; I like to be pushed to the next level. And all of them have something special about their workouts.

Q: What advice would you give to other wild peeps?

Pat: The exercise is great and needed to be done. But nutrition and eating wild and portion size I feel is also very important, I know people that workout 4 times a week but have poor eating habits, then give up on exercise because they don’t lose any weight ad don’t feel any better than when they started.

Lori: Not to worry about what others are doing in class if some are stronger or faster than you. It’s YOUR workout, so push yourself as much as “you” can, not what your neighbor is doing.

Q: Do you have a favorite song or type of music for working out?

Pat: Anything upbeat, good tempo.

Lori:  I prefer the 70’s Rock. Tom usually has a great mix of music.

Q: What are some challenges or goals you are currently working on?

Pat: Working on running faster for Triathlons, and preparing for the 2015 Senior Nationals in St. Paul, MN.

Lori: Running and working on my heart rate. I want to enter at least 3 triathlons in 2015.
