Sarah Jane Harper- Success Story
Sarah Jane used to be embarrassed working out with others. That all changed when she joined Your Best Body Challenge at Wild Workouts and Wellness. Instead of feeling self-conscious, Sarah loved the community feel of working out with other clients and with the support of the coaches.
Since joining Wild Workouts and Wellness, Sarah Jane has lost over 40 pounds and won the Your Best Body Challenge. After struggling with food her entire life, Sarah Jane implemented some of the Eat Wild tools to her vegetarian diet to make changes that improved her energy and helped her lose weight.
We asked Sarah Jane a few questions about her journey at Wild Workouts and Wellness.
What made you decide you wanted/needed to start a program?
I have struggled with my weight my entire life and it wasn’t getting any easier as I was getting older. I had put on a little extra weight in the past yea, and knew that I needed to do something to get my health in check. I was first introduced to Wild through their Best Body Workout Challenge. I was able to do a workout once a week at the gym and was very strict at making sure I was eating Wild and added my own workouts at home. I saw results and began to love the environment of working out at Wild. I saw results very quickly and ended up winning the challenge! This really gave me the confidence boost to keep going. I was lucky enough to win a month of unlimited workouts from the challenge and haven’t stopped working out at Wild since.
What results have you achieved since starting your program?
I have lost over 40 pounds! I have so much energy now. I work with kids and it is so much easier to keep up with them while running around outside. Riding my bike is easier, working out is becoming fun, instead of uncomfortable, and I have so much more confidence. I even started jogging! I have never been able to run before and I actually enjoy jogging around my neighborhood. I feel muscles I’ve never had before and I am able to use heavier weights each time I go to the boot camp workouts.
What do you like best about our program/having a trainer?
Before working out at Wild, I didn’t like to work out in front of people. I would go to the gym super late at night, so I would be there by myself and wouldn’t be embarrassed. I was very apprehensive about a group workout class. That changed very quickly once I started attending the boot camp classes. The atmosphere at Wild is so inclusive and fun. The trainers get to know clients and make them comfortable. They constantly push me to grab a heavier weight, go faster and have fun. I like the consistency of having my class twice a week, but I like the variety of the workouts. They are always fresh and different.
What would you say to someone on the fence about joining our program?
Wild is the perfect place to get in shape if you like challenging, fun, inclusive workouts. You will fit in, regardless of age, ability, gender and body type. I never thought I would be able to find something that I could stick with consistently, but I have definitely found it at Wild. I am not at my goal yet, but I have already come so far, and I am 100% positive I will get there with the help of the trainers at Wild. I am so grateful to the whole community of Wild for all of their support and can’t wait to keep going.
