Maggie has impressed the Wild staff with her commitment to her workouts. She brings an amazing intensity to all of her classes and is always trying to do more and go heavier. Read on to hear why Maggie chose to become part of the Wild community! How did you first hear about Wild Workouts & Wellness?I was looking for a gym that offered classes around 7:30/8:00am and a couple friends of mine that currently go to Wild or had gone in the past said “I think Wild Workouts and Wellness has an 8am boot camp!” . The perfect time for my schedule! Do you have a favorite exercise? What do you like about it?I love lifting and lifting on the heavier side but I also enjoy intensity. I would have to say kettlebell clean and press, kettlebell snatch and pretty much anything glute/leg related. I love how strong I feel when I accomplish these moves! Least favorite? What don’t you like about it?I f-ing HATE mountain climbers. I don’t know why these are so hard for me! My shoulders always feel like they are going to fall off! Anything but those! Give me all the burpees!! What achievements are you most proud of?I’ve gained a lot of strength in the past year especially my upper body! I’m also proud of my general commitment to fitness and truly making it part of my lifestyle. It’s no longer a thing I do to try and look a certain way but I do it because it sets me up for the day, makes me strong and healthy and makes me feel like a bad ass! Why Wild? What do you like most about Wild Workouts and Wellness?I love that I show up, get bossed around, sweat a lot and leave! No matter what class I’m in I feel like everyone there is there for the same reasons. I always tell everyone that it’s a judgement free place with people of all ages and experience levels. You get to chose how hard you want to work. What advice would you give to other Wild peeps?Stick to it, have fun and don’t hesitate to ask for help or modifier if something doesn’t feel good! Do you have a favorite song or type of music for working out?I’m really not picky during class but if I’m working out by myself it’s usually metal or hardcore. I need something angry haha. What are some challenges or goals you are currently working on?I’m always working on progressive overload when at the gym. Always pushing myself by increasing weight even if it’s only for half a set. |
