How did you first hear about Wild Workouts & Wellness?

I see it outside my window every day. I’ve always had a hard time sticking with any sort of exercise routine and my sister suggested Wild because “everyone who goes there always looks so happy and like they’ve had so much fun”. She was very right. Listen to your older siblings.

Do you have a favorite exercise? What do you like about it?

Probably rowing using TRX. I find it challenging, yet fun, and somehow relaxing.

Least favorite? What don’t you like about it?

Late night cycling, haha (that’s for Tom). Mountain climbers. I think it’s the combination of the plank and the cardio aspect. They’re fine apart, but I really dislike them together. That being said, they are a lot easier now.

What achievements are you most proud of?

I’m still here! And I actually know what I’m doing most of the time! Hearing “you’re so much better at that now” is really rewarding.

Why Wild? What do you like most about Wild Workouts and Wellness?

In order to keep with any fitness routine I realized I need someone telling me what to do and when. I also need a bit of a community feel because that keeps me more accountable. If no one really knows you it is much easier to quit. Wild is that balance.

And, as someone who initially had no idea what they were doing, it’s somewhere where you never feel intimidated by other people who have more experience than you do. Everyone is there at their own pace and for their own reasons and the coaches are there to help you along that path.

What advice would you give to other Wild peeps?

Keep coming and say hello to the other people there. If you’re someone who knows you’ll have a hard time keeping up with something, I think it helps to have familiar faces. It keeps you accountable.

Do you have a favorite song or type of music for working out?

90s – early 2000’s rap/hip hop

What are some challenges or goals you are currently working on?

I’m doing a terrain/obstacle race in a few weeks to support one of my clinic’s patients. I’m sure I won’t be ready for a lot of the obstacles, but I’ll be ready for a lot more than I was last year.

I also have an ongoing goal of being better at push-ups.
