Carla really goes 110% at every workout! She sets a great example of being committed and stays consistent with her workouts. Making the workouts is important to her, so she makes the time for them and never lets excuses get in the way all while keeping a great attitude. In fact, she once had so much work to do at her job she worked all day, left for a bit and came to our workout and then went back to her job to finish up! Now that is some serious dedication!

Carla also demonstrates the wisdom to listen to what her body is telling her, she communicates her needs with the trainers and really does her homework with rolling and stretching. She works out hard and smart – and it’s a challenge to achieve that kind of a balance, but Carla does it!

Carla has also made some major improvements on her shoulder and neck pain while getting in our fun, challenging workouts. She takes action to take care of herself, and has a healthy outlook of the big picture of health and exercise. She’s also done a great job of improving her overall strength, endurance and toning up.

We asked Carla some Q&A questions to see what she has to say about her experience at Wild Workouts and Wellness, and here is what she had to say:

Q: Do you have a favorite exercise?

A: I would have to say that it would be anytime we incorporate boxing into the workout. It has been a while since we have (hint, hint).

Q: What do you like about it?

A: There is something exhilarating about punching that bag!

Q: Least favorite?

A: Most people say that burpees are their least favorite. Up until a few months ago I would agree but they have somewhat grown on me. I am still not that fond of pushups.

Q: What don’t you like about it?

A: They hurt!

Q: What achievements are you most proud of?

A: I can now do more than one pushup! On a more serious note, if you continue working out and eating well, you will notice physical changes. But for me it goes beyond that. I can have the crappiest day but by the end of the workout I am re-energized and in a much better mood and everyone in my life benefits from that!

Q: What do you like most about Wild Workouts and Wellness?

A: I was hooked after attending one session. It was the people, energy and the great staff and a coach that has an awesome name! It didn’t take long for me to realize I found a gem of a place to work out at.

Q: What advice would you give to other wild peeps?

A: Stay positive and focused. Don’t give up if you cannot do something, use a lighter weight or slow down. Do as much of an exercise as you can. Next time try to do a bit more.

Q: Do you have a favorite song or type of music for working out?

A: Any type of music really. I am partial to country but I think I would be outvoted most nights.

Q: What are some challenges or goals you are currently working on?

A: I have had a few injuries along the way with the most current being my neck. I was afraid that my doctor was going to tell me that I could no longer workout, so I am glad that is not the case. And that is where I give kudos to Carla and Amber for constantly checking up on me and helping me get through the workout.

If you have ever been in a workout with Carla, you know she brings the fun, positive energy to each Wild workout!
