With the kids back in school and fall right around the corner, you bet that you will have some people around you that will be sick. Well it’s time to go on the defense and pump up your immunity so you can stay healthy during cold and flu season.
One way to ward of germs is to wash your hands. But what do you do if you are out in public or at work? Use hand sanitizer. But wait… don’t just use any old hand sanitizer. Most commercial brands are full of chemicals that can disrupt your hormones like tricolsan and parabens. They also contain benzalkonium chloride which can disrupt your healthy gut bacteria.
But here’s your solution… Make your own hand sanitizer. In this recipe, we are using Essential Shield an oil blend that will boost your immunity and has antibacterial properties.
Warm and inviting, Essential Shield envelops the user with the familiar aromas of orange, cinnamon and clove to soothe and comfort during the changing seasons.
Features: Orange, Clove, Eucalyptus, Cinnamon, Lavender, Lemon, Pine needle Wild Rosemary, Peppermint, Pink Grapefruit, Thyme
Here’s how to make your own hand sanitizer:
1 tbsp witch hazel
½ tsp sweet almond oil
25 drops of Essential Shield
Mix all together into a glass jar or squeeze bottle.
I have mine in a glass jar and it sits by where we change diapers. I’ll be honest. I think a squeeze bottle would be better. But the jar does work.
