It never fails, no matter how much I reapply the sunblock (on myself or my kids), there’s always a spot that gets sunburnt.
Sure, I could go grab some of that gooey green stuff that they’re trying to pass off as ‘aloe’ – its rare I can find 100% real aloe at a local store, make sure you check the label since the green goopy stuff is full of chemicals and other unsavory ingredients!
But since I have nature’s first aid kit at my disposal, so why not make some essential oil remedies to help get the sunburn sting out and start healing our skin.
First, here’s a short list of some of the most coveted essential oils for sunburns. These are pretty popular oils that you’re likely to have in stock already.
DIY Aloe Gel Treatment
4 tsp pure aloe vera gel
1 tsp arnica oil
15 drops lavender oil
5 drops peppermint oil
Combine ingredients and mix thoroughly. Use cotton ball to apply to burnt area.
