We are finishing out our 2013 with one amazing client of the month. Jon joined Wild Workouts and Wellness in April 2013. Since joining he’s lost over 30lbs and 8% of his body fat. Incredible! He’s always loved running, but he knew he needed to amp up his workouts with strength training to get the results he’s always wanted. So, he listened to the recommendation of his Wild Member friends, Steve & Annie Hyma, and came to try us out. He immediately participated in our “Summer Slimdown” Weight Loss Challenge and got great results! But he didn’t stop there! Not only was Jon burning fat and losing weight, his performance, stamina and strength sky rocketed! He even competed in our 8 Weeks to Tough Mudder Program and rocked it at the Tough Mudder this past September. Jon is an active participant in all of our Wild events which is awesome. If there is a charity event, weight loss challenge, or a bonus boot camp, it’s almost certain that Jon will be there to show his Wild support. Best of all, Jon participated in our 5 Week “Your Best Body” Weight Loss Challenge that just wrapped up and he came in 2nd place! Jon lost 12.4lbs and 5.5% body fat. Just incredible! We’re so proud of you, Jon!  We asked him some questions about his experience so far with Wild Workouts and Wellness, here is what he had to say:

Q: Do you have a favorite exercise? What do you like about it? Least favorite? What don’t you like about it?

A: I like wild because you guys have me do all the stuff that I didn’t want to do at the gym. Honestly, I don’t have a favorite exercise, because I dislike them all. They are hard and make my body ache. I do love the results though!

Q: What achievements are you most proud of?

A: Losing body fat and gaining muscle. I’m stronger and more toned than I have been since high school I could not have achieved this by just running.

Q: What do you like most about Wild Workouts and Wellness?

A: Both the trainers and other members are just awesome. I have met so many cool people so far. From a training standpoint, I like that the trainers just tell us what to do. I don’t have to think, I just have to do.

Q: What advice would you give to other wild peeps?

A: Eat when you’re hungry. But drink a big glass of water first.

Q: Do you have a favorite song or type of music for working out?

A: I love metal. It gives me so much energy. Since it’s not very palatable for most people, I only enjoy it in my car or on a run. You may have seen me air-drumming on a sidewalk somewhere in Bay View. I have a go-to playlist for running featuring Adestria, This or the Apocalypse, Memphis May Fire, Between the buried and me, within the ruins and many more. We should play some at the gym… if you want to scare people away…

Q: What are some challenges or goals you are currently working on?

A: I am 5 lbs away from losing a total of 60 lbs. Then I’d like to lose another 20, but I’m in no rush.
