Jamie has been a fixture at Small Group and we love her positive attitude and that she’s always challenging herself in workouts.  Here’s what she has to say about her time at Wild…

What’s your favorite exercise?

My favorite exercise is definitely the dead-lift!  It’s the exercise where I can really see just how strong I’ve gotten since starting at Wild.  Never did I think I’d be able to dead-lift more than my body weight!  (Box-jumps are a close second for favorite exercise!)  Least favorite would be any core-related exercises.  I hate the burn of any core exercise!  Maybe after another few months of dead-bugs and beast-holds, my core will be stronger and I’ll hate them less 🙂

What achievements are you most proud of?

I started at Wild in the Best Me program with the one and only goal to lose the last 10lbs of my baby weight.  I was really excited when I started losing weight, but I never even thought or cared about losing body fat or gaining muscle before becoming a small group client.  I just wanted to weigh less.  Now that I’m seeing these “bonus results,” the scale has become a very small part of my fitness journey.  I might weigh a couple pounds more than I did pre-baby, but I’m down an additional dress-size, I’m at my lowest body-fat percentage and I’m stronger than I have ever been or ever thought I could be!

What do you like most about Wild Workouts and Wellness?

Small group workouts are exactly what I needed!  I love the small class sizes & more individualized attention from coaches.  I remember struggling a lot with form when I first started and having coaches to help you reset and improve has been great!  I’m usually in the 5:30am classes and I absolutely love starting my day working out with a group that brings such great energy!

What advice would you give other Wild peeps?

My advice would be to keep pushing yourself beyond your comfort zone.  That’s something I’ve been working on the past couple of months.  I felt like I kept grabbing the same lb. weights and really had to push myself to grab something heavier.  Even if I only get a few reps with a heavier weight, I feel so much better at least having tried!

Go-to workout song?

I’m really all over the board, mixing in country and pop and oldies and classic rock, so the mix of Wild playlists really suits me!  I do LOVE the Queen mix we’ve had a few times at small group!
