WILD Workouts & Wellness is having another Kettlebell class for July-Backyard Bells! For those unfamiliar with kettlebells, they are a great way to get a multi-muscle group exercise in.
Kettlebell workouts can be so fluid, like a dance, putting together a chain of movements that leave your heart pounding and sweat pouring. Yes, there’s some sneaky cardio component to a kettlebell workout. A great blend of aerobic and anaerobic conditioning. Form is imperative to moves like the kettlebell swing or the kettlebell snatch otherwise you’ll be either sore or bruised the next day. This is no reason to shy away from the kettlebell. You have way too much to gain from grabbing one of these things.
You’ll get a mega -caloric burn. The American council on Exercise states that the average kettlebell workout burns 20 calories per minutes. That’s 1200 calories in just one hour. Kettlebell workouts are total body conditioning with many muscle groups working together to give you the biggest bang for the time you spend working out.
Kettlebells are also a great way to get a toned butt! The classic kettlebell swing works all the backside muscles like your glutes, hamstrings, and lower back.
